Sandra Benedetto
Pioneer Electronics USA, Inc.
Sandra Benedetto is presently
the Director of Product Management & Sales Engineering for the
Industrial Business Division at Pioneer Electronics USA, Inc.
With
over twenty years of experience in the interactive technology and
multimedia industries, Sandra has worked in product planning and title,
content and application development for DVD, CD-ROM and LaserDisc
technologies.
She is considered an expert in the application
of interactive video and optical disc technology in professional,
industrial and educational markets. And she has assisted numerous
organizations in creating content and designing delivery systems for
public displays, museum exhibitions, corporate training, all levels of
education and point-of-sale applications.
Sandra spent several
years as Assistant Director of Production, Quality Assurance and Title
Localization. While at Voyager she contributed to the design and
development of over 30 multi-media CD-ROM titles, including Laurie
Anderson’s Puppet Motel, Museums of the World for Kids, Witness to the
Future, Spinal Tap, Poetry in Motion, For All Mankind, American Museum
of Natural History, and many more.
She is a former educator and
founding director of a national award-winning electronics and technical
skills post-secondary training program for women.
Sandra holds
a BA in Sociology and Women’s Studies from Ramapo College, a
certification in Audio Electronics and Recording Technology from the
Institute of Audio Research, and a Masters Degree in Educational
Communication and Technology from NYU. Additionally, Sandra attended
the Electrical Engineering program at the NJ Institute of Technology.
Sandra
has been a featured speaker at numerous conferences throughout North
America & Europe on the topic of DVD technology and creating
content for business, training and education. She is a member of the
Blu-ray Disc Association’s USA Promotions Committee.
