Ron was born on March 20, 1959 and educated in Omaha, Nebraska.

He began his career in the recording industry in 1976, where he engineered and produced thousands of original music tracks, radio and television commercials, and corporate presentations.

In 1986, Ron  became co-owner and Executive Vice-President/General Manager of Sound Recorders, Inc., one of the largest independent post-production recording studios in the United States, specializing in state-of-the-art audio and video editing.

Due to the company’s diverse client base, Ron’s years at Sound Recorders exposed him to virtually every aspect of audio production, from location and studio recording to film mixing, video sweetening, and disc mastering.

His production credits include several platinum recordings and numerous broadcast awards for clients such as Mannheim Steamroller/Fresh Aire, Ted Nugentt, Hallmark Cards, Wal-Mart, Blockbuster Video, and Pizza Hut.

During those years Ron’s production mix experience included broadcast, corporate, and music recording with clients such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robbie Nevil, Sprint, Lee Jeans, and the NCAA.

In 1992 Ron formed a partnership with CPN Television to engineer and produce television programming for “What’s-Up Network,” “Burt Reynolds’ Conversation with...” and the American Cancer Society National Telethon.

During the 1990s, Ron also helped Evatone, Inc. establish Compact Disc mastering, video editing, DVD authoring, and premastering systems for its national replication facility.  While at Evatone, he authored or directed the authoring of more than one-thousand DVD titles. Today, Ron continues to lead the research and development of new technologies and product offerings for digital content delivery, including authoring for the Flexplay line of time-limited play DVD.

In addition to his ongoing role at Evatone, Ron is involved with several other projects. He serves as President of In-Spec Media, providing authoring, evaluation, and consultation for digital media-based products. Clients include companies such as Adobe Systems, Elsevier, Ltd., and Wacky World TV. Ron also serves as Chief Technology Officer for RYS Records, where he is helping to develop and implement new content delivery technologies for independent label artists.
