Niran Huesing, born 12 of July 1971, Co-founder of nixbu DVD Services Ltd. and nixbu Entertainment GmbH & Co. KG.
Studied computer science before becoming a CD-ROM programmer in the early 90's.
Moved on to CD-I and VCD until the end of the 90s when it all went DVD.
In the years 1999 and 2000 Niran Huesing build up the DVD studios for replicator optimal in Hamburg and for bizzcomm in the FX Center in Babelsberg (Potsdam/Berlin) before founding nixbu with Kai Ehlers 15 of May 2001.
Being enthusiastic about interactivity nixbu became the first licensee of the Interactual Player 2.0 which led to numerous awards for WebDVD productions. Some of the advanced projects where a series of Web-enabled travel DVD.
For my work on the Haiku disc "WebDVD Demystified" I was granted a DVDA AWARD in 2003.
Since 2003 nixbu evolved from a pure technical service provider to a DVD distributor, my main job went more to international Film- and TV licensing business.
Being enthusiastic about the upcoming HD formats I was also involved in early prototyping work which eventually led to the first nixbu HD DVD release in November 2006, RIDES Vol.1, RIDES Vol.2 and RIDES Vol.3. In early 2007 the world`s first 720p HD DVD tiles BALI HD and the world`s first DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 titles GHOST OF MAE NAK was published.
Up today nixbu has premastered more than 1.200 DVD titles for replication and more than 4.000 one off projects for duplication.
Today nixbu is providing a complete range of technical HD DVD premastering service from small corporate to complex platform project like the MuNa (Music Navigator) HD DVD project and also maintains a DVD and HD DVD distribution business.
Up today nixbu has premastered more than 1.200 DVD titles for replication and more than 4.000 one off projects for duplication.
