Richmond Studios

What a glorious day in London Towne!  Sunny and blue skies (ok, a bit cold, but hey I live in the southern US).  Easy train ride from Waterloo Station (old Kinks song playing in my head) to Richmond, home of Richmond Studios located just a stone's throw from the River Thames.  I had a great time touring their facility (voted Facility of the Year, for two consecutive years in the DVDA Excellence Awards, well done!).

Here I am congratulating Toby Alington, chief major domo of Richmond Studios on their impressive successive awards. For more on Richmond Studios, go here: www.richmondstudios.com

Picture Prodns Company

After enjoying the Surrey countryside, it was a short train ride and a short hop on the tube to Soho and Picture Productions Company.  Here, I stand between Chris Skarratt, Producer at PPC (L), and Andy Evans, DVDA Board Director and head of The Pavement (R).  Thanks to Pierre Lamoureaux (of FogoLabs and our newly-forming Canada Chapter) for taking the pix.

Today's meeting was held to plan exciting new events for the London DVDA Chapter.
Watch this site, as we will post notices very soon.

Well, LA for Digital Hollywood and our DVDA Excellence Awards, Cannes for MIPTV and London for Richmond Studios and Chapter Planning.  Not a bad 3 weeks of work. Tomorrow I find my old address, Seat 12b, Delta Airlines. Onward to NAB.

Much more to come, as always.
Bernie Mitchell - President - DVD Association
