If it's Amsterdam, it must be IBC time again!
Greetings from IBC in Amsterdam. The weather is gorgeous and the attendance at this huge exhibition is up from last year (hardly seems possible). I arrived on Saturday, very jet lagged and immediately met up with Bob Auger (DVDA Board Member) who is the producer of the DVDA session, that will be held tomorrow. I will try to blog for the next few days, to give you a flavor of the excitement here in Amsterdam.

The first picture shows the entrance to the immense RAI Conference Center in Amsterdam, home of IBC. You can also see some of the remote outside broadcast vans parked outside the venue. Most are HD, by the way. Also note our sponsor Pioneer proudly displaced on the RAI tower.
Picture two is inside the speaker’s conference area. From left to right; James Burns of IBC, Bernie Mitchell, President DVDA, and Bob Auger, DVDA Board Member. We are attending to last minute details regarding our session Monday morning.
And of course, not all planning is so serious. This last picture is from late in the day as we gathered to wish Bob Auger a very happy birthday. From left to right, Bob Auger, Steve Hall, Technical Manager for Testronic Laboratories, John Carey, Director of Business Development, Professional Audio for dts, and Gerald Hinton, Technical Project Manager for Deluxe Digital Studios. Steve, John and Gerald are among the speakers at our session.
