Nelson Diaz
InPhase Technologies
President, CEO, and Founder
In
December 2000, Diaz started InPhase Technologies a holographic digital
storage company as a spin-off from Lucent, Bell Laboratories. He is
responsible for all strategic and operating activities of the company.
Prior
to joining InPhase, Diaz was VP/GM for StorageTek Corporation where he
directed the Client Server Tape and Disk Business Group activities of
this multi-billion dollar storage technology company. While in this
position, his group doubled their revenues to nearly $1B in less than
two years. Prior to that, Diaz was VP of Operations at StorageTek
Corporation, VP of Engineering at Electronic Manufacturing Systems, VP
of Quality at Maxtor Corporation, and Division Quality Manager at
Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC). During his long tenure with DEC
he held numerous positions within the Storage Group including Plant
Manager for the Colorado Springs plant. He has over 25 years of
management experience in the digital storage industry.
Diaz
received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cleveland State
University, Magna Cum Laude and attended Arizona State University for
graduate studies in Mechanical Engineering, Automatic Control Systems.
He is an advisor to Western New England College School of Engineering
and was in the faculty of Pikes Peak Community College.
Diaz is married with two children and currently lives in Boulder, Colorado, USA.
